IAM Union Activists are working day and night to pressure JetBlue - and every other airline in America - to embrace a $30 top pay rate for fleet service and Ground Operations workers. The IAM brought $30 an hour to tens of thousands of Ground Ops workers throughout the industry. Now, in order to protect these wages, union activists also need to bring them to low-wage, high profit airlines like JetBlue.
You have seen IAM Activists and Organizers on your way to work at JetBlue. These men and women are putting pressure on your company executives to pay you a decent wage - or risk seeing Ground Ops become a unionized work group.
But, that isn't the only strategy that the IAM is using to raise wages outside of our union. We are also raising wages all across the commercial airline industry, which pressures JetBlue executives to raise your pay in order to stay competitive in the job market.
If executives still refuse to pay Ground Ops a fair wage, based on the money that Crewmembers earn for the company, we can always do it through a direct relationship with the company as the union representing GO Crewmembers.
One way or the other, the IAM will not stop until Ground Operations is earning a $30 top wage and a union contract.
